Hello Former USS Henry Clay, SSBN 625 (Blue & Gold) Shipmates:
Well time is drawing near for another of those great submarine reunions. This will be the second one for the Henry Clay and will be held in one of its former Home Ports, Charleston, SC on
18 thru 21 September 2008.
For those of you that have not been around Charleston for a number of years, you will be pleasantly surprised at all the changes that have taken place here. Our reunion hotel is the Charleston Harbor Resort and Marina, located in Mount Pleasant, SC at Patriots Point (this is also where the largest former U.S. Navy Ship museum is located).
Also at Patriots Point is the Submarine Cold War Memorial and on board the USS Yorktown is the Medal of Honor Museum. In addition there is one of the top golf courses in the country located there .
A Memorial Service for all Shipmates and Submarines lost, it will be held on Saturday, September 20th at 11:00 am at the at the Cold War Memorial. This Submarine represents all the FBM's we sailed on. This Memorial will be put on by the Charleston Subvets. You won't want to miss it. Plantation Photography will be taking
group photo's of all the shipmates just after the Memorial Service.
The Spirit Line dinner cruise planned on Saturday evening September 20th, departs from Patriots Point also.
We have a few other things on the schedule, but still leaving you some free time to roam the cities and see old or new places.

We will have a hospitality room at the hotel for the duration of the reunion where you can gather and tell the sea stories you have been waiting to tell for years. For those of us that were at the 2005 reunion you know the special times held in that room in Kansas City and how the years melted away as we talked about old times and new.
Plan on joining us for the fun and meet up with old shipmates and meet some new shipmates from other times.
